About Dr. Sudheesh K.
Dr. Sudheesh K. is Professor of Anaesthesiology at Bangalore Medical College & Research Institute (BMCRI), Bangalore, with over 20 years of clinical and academic experience. He holds an MBBS degree from AIMS, Bellur, Mysore University, MD Anaesthesiology from VIMS Bellary (RGUHS University) , and a DNB from CMC Vellore. A life member of ISA, AORA, AIDiAA &ISCCM. He has chaired multiple CME & conference scientific committees, served as assistant and associate Editor of Indian Journal of Anaesthesia (2011-2021) & the editor in chief of Karnataka Anaesthesia Journal from 2017-21. With 30+ indexed publications and 100+ conference presentations, his research focuses on post-operative analgesia, airway management, and critical care. Dr. Sudheesh is dedicated to advancing anaesthesia education, research, and patient care excellence
Academic Leadership & Contributions
With over 18 years of distinguished teaching experience in Anaesthesiology, Dr. Sudheesh K has mentored numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students, including MD and DNB candidates, shaping the next generation of medical professionals.
As Chairman of the Scientific Committee, he has spearheaded critical CME programs such as Critical Care: Concept to Practice (2012), Emergency & Trauma Care – An Update (2013), and Obstetric Anaesthesia – An Overview (2013), as well as pioneering Airway (2015) and Research Methodology Workshops (2015 – till date). Has also been a part of core committee of ISA guidelines.
A sought-after speaker and academic leader, he has actively participated in state zonal , national& International conferences, while also serving as a judge for research presentations and quiz master for PG competitions, fostering excellence in anaesthesiology education and research.
